I'm Andy and I'm a certified solo cruise addict. I became hooked on cruising before stepping foot on my first cruise, if that's even possible. I booked 18 months in advance, which allowed for some serious research time!

Where and when was that cruise? Which cruise line? How long was it? Did I ease myself in gently to see if cruising was for me?

Well, I completely went all in, so it's just as well I fell in love with being at sea! Departing from Singapore onboard Celebrity Millennium in December 2018, I visited Laem Chabang for Thailand, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang and Halong Bay in Vietnam, and disembarked in Hong Kong, where I spent Christmas in the beautiful T Hotel.   

It was absolutely magical, both on and off the ship!

Back then, I would journal my holidays/vacations and cruises on my personal Facebook account. As my cruise count racked up and my passion and confidence grew, my Facebook Page featuring live cruise blogs (and much more) was born in 2021.

In May 2022, after limited content releases, I switched my personal YouTube account to Addicted2Ships. I didn't realise you could have more than one channel back then, so the channel 'joined' date is not accurate. Not that it really matters now. 

I found that the filming and creative editing process was something I really loved!  I started to film Ship Tours and Reviews. My first Ship Tour was of Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas. What a massive one to start with! 

As my cruise count racked up and my passion grew, the name changed to Addicted2Ships & Trips to incorporate my time spent in embarking and debarking towns/cities, along with visits to other places along the way. 

So here we are, 15 cruises later (and counting), and in my spare time, I'm here and on my Socials, doing what I absolutely love: sharing my passion for all things cruise and travel! If it makes just one person's task of choosing a ship, itinerary, restaurant, show, etc a little easier, or even change someone's opinion who believes a cruise may not be right for them,  it's all worthwhile.

You will typically find me on a cruise 3-4 times a year at the moment. 

The dream would be to make this my full time job. Who knows what the future holds! Stay tuned to my Socials!
